When all else fails, Fake it!

I bring you... a Lunch! recipe buzz! post~ *cheater's edition*

From Weeks 9-12, 2011

Still refusing to post buzzes on my phone because of the small picture which the app restricts me to, and refusing to pay for the app either. So this is lunch, at 4:00pm.

Multigrain bread always run out the fastest, and I can only get them on Saturday mornings because I start at 6:30am, and that's when the breadman comes. Plus, if the breadman brings extra bread that isn't part of the order, we get it for free! First come first serve!! Had some pretty good steals in the past, from lebanese bread to raisin toasts.

99cents from Harris Farms. Sure, other types of tuna have their specials from time to time, but this one is ALWAYS 99cents. Lemon pepper is great because when you mix it with salad leaves, you don't need a dressing at all- it's all in the can of tuna!

From Weeks 9-12, 2011
Flatten bread with rolling pin. Rather than rolling it out on a plate, which isn't very flat, I used paper towels, which I reused for the next bread too, and also used it to wrap the roll so any extra liquid from the tuna doesn't go down my hand when eating.

And Lunch! is finished.

If anyone's wondering why it's so healthy and unlike me...

I also had...

From Weeks 9-12, 2011
... this! Sold also at Harris Farm for 75cents, which is quite expensive for a small packet of chocolate biscuits like that, but it's been forever since I had this.

From Weeks 9-12, 2011
When I was small, I used to always look forward to being given a packet of these from my parents *super rare*, as well as the Koala chocolate biscuits, which is crispier and thinner. If you know my parents, they were extremely strict in the past and absolutely forbade junk food =( we were such deprived albeit healthy kids, imagine having cheese sandwiches and honey water for breakfast almost every single day for 5 years....

Now I detest honey water, it actually makes me sick...

*sigh* Memories~

rolling pin to flatten the bread.. interesting..

I think the proper way is to use a heated pan and slam it onto the bread? and then you can fill it with yakisoba...

Flattening the bread makes it easier to roll with that much filling and without breaking the bread.

If only I had yakisoba... ><
